I have been working in wellness since 2008 and help people harness the benefits and power of their breath and nature for better health and performance.
I battled with asthma since the age of four and was using prevention and rescue inhalers every day for decades. When I discovered The Buteyko Breathing Method, it was life changing. Within weeks I was able to reduce my use of inhalers! Now I am on a mission to help others as I continue to practice and study a variety of techniques and offer customized breathing programs.
I grew up spending much of my time in nature and to this day that is where I feel the most 'at home.' When I was 12, my family escaped from the former Czechoslovakia and we spent 5 months in a refugee camp in Austria. It could have been devastating, knowing that my childhood home is gone and not knowing anything about my future. Because each family had a tiny single room, we were outside from morning to night with beautiful nature all around. So what I remember is a wonderful time of my life spent with my family and new friends from many countries - all in a major transition and all supported by nature. We continued to spend a lot of our time outdoors as our family settled in the US and enjoyed camping, hiking, and exploring. Throughout my college years, nature continued to be an important part of my life and I felt I was a part of nature. Then came a few decades of working inside and most of the time cut off from nature. I felt that something was missing but I didn't know what it was. I am so grateful that I have found my way back to nature and as a result have been experiencing many amazing benefits. It is now my mission to help others find simple and practical ways to reconnect with breath & nature for better wellbeing.
